Natal teeth are teeth present in the mouth at birth, while neonatal teeth erupt within the first month of life. Dr. Church evaluates these teeth to ensure they are stable and not causing injury to the infant’s tongue or interfering with feeding. Usually, these teeth can remain in place, but if any harm is being done to the child or mother, they may need to be gently removed.
