If it is determined that your child needs restorative treatment, don’t worry! We go to great lengths to make sure that your child is comfortable during their procedure.
Most cavities can be restored with tooth-colored fillings (composite resin) that blend with the surrounding tooth structure, making them nearly invisible. We have been a mercury-free practice since 2004!
If baby teeth have more extensive decay, they may need to be restored with a crown. For back teeth, we use stainless steel crowns. While not as esthetically pleasing as white restorations, they are both economical and durable. For front teeth that need crown restorations, we use tooth-colored pediatric zirconia crowns that mimic the appearance of natural teeth.
Sometimes the best treatment for decayed baby teeth is extraction. The good news is that we get a brand-new replacement tooth! If space maintenance is needed following an extraction, we can take care of that too.
